CHALLENGE:
The client was developing a new platform for a leading financial services firm that was committed to ensuring the platform was accessible to all users and compliant with WCAG standards.
Due to the client’s expedited timeline and need for integration with the development team, Ultranauts was selected to replace IBM as the platform’s accessibility testing partner.
ENGAGEMENT:
Ultranauts deployed an agile team with accessibility testing expertise and a QE lead.
The team worked closely with the client’s development team performed in-sprint testing to ensure all accessibility requirements were met.
RESULTS:
Ultranauts increased bug detection by 56% vs previous vendor (IBM), over 90% of which were treated as priority fixes by the dev team, and developed an expedited testing process allowing developers to easily implement accessibility code fixes.
The team educated and trained client teams on a streamlined and efficient process for meeting the WCAG and internal compliance standards, and supported the ongoing development and launch of a fully accessible platform.
