We are hiring a full-time Director of Talent to join our fully remote team and help drive the next phase of the company’s growth. We’re looking for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in talent acquisition, employee success and performance management, and extensive experience building high performing cultures and teams in companies with more than 100 employees. The ideal candidate will also have a gift for developing and deploying organizational processes, a passion for creating social impact, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and get things done, nicely. Job Responsibilities 

  • Lead the Recruitment team to source the right talent
    • Establish Ultranauts as the employer of choice for neurodiverse, technical talent
    • Continuously drive improvements in pre-hire screening and assessment to minimize recruiting cycle time, maximize staff efficiency, and improve outcomes
    • Administer and continuously improve standardized onboarding experience and outcomes to ensure that new hires are set up for success
    • KPIs: # of engineers/analysts/managers hired, average recruiting cycle time, average staff hrs/new hir
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development team to implement an equitable performance management system
    • Establish a community-driven, strengths-based performance management process 
    • Understand alignment between employee career goals and assessments of skill and potential to provide guidance and support for career development and progression
    • Support evolution of culture and team practices across the organization to enable continuous learning
    • KPIs: % of team retained, % of new hires meeting expectations
  • Work with stakeholders across the company to ensure an empowering employee experience
    • Identify and implement ways to help managers create psychological safety and enable peak performance for cognitively diverse teams
    • Lead working group to evolve Culture Code (work rules) and ensure the culture is reinforced through service delivery practices
    • Continuously monitor employee engagement and identify concrete actions to improve the well-being of individuals and workforce segments
    • Establish support resources including peer mentors, life/job coaches
    • Manage process for fielding employee grievances
    • KPIs: wellbeing measures (valued score, expectations score, loneliness score) 

Job Requirements

  • Managing talent operations for a company of more than 100 employees
  • Sourcing experienced and early career technology professionals with diverse talent profiles; experience sourcing neurodiverse talent preferred
  • Improving talent outcomes through the application of human-centered design, organizational development, and process improvement
  • Managing external commercial vendor and mission stakeholder relationships
  • Leveraging data, analytics, and automation to support business decisions at the C-level
  • Familiarity with legal employment practices
  • Accountability for department budget and KPIs
  • Managing teams remotely
